This position will focus on staff supervision across Montana, partnership building, donor cultivation, and maximizing community impact state-wide. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting multiple work streams and collaborating cross-functionally with local and national teams.   • With support from regional and national staff, grow robust sober active communities in Missoula, Livingston, and Billings
  • Build partnerships with relevant local organizations
  • Collaborate with Montana tribal communities to seek new opportunities
  • Spearhead local fundraising efforts, including private donations, grants, peer-to-peer fundraising, corporate sponsorships, and capital campaigns
  • Oversee general daily administrative needs and tasks of the Missoula chapter and monitor program, facility, and equipment standards
  • Facilitate events (especially outdoors) in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment
  • Build a strong base of volunteers who will lead the majority of Phoenix events
  • Assist with the online presence of the chapter
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Travel as needed


  • Program management and supervisory experience
  • Background in partnership building
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, including ability to relate to people from all walks of life
  • Familiarity with local community
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
  • Organizational and time management skills, as well as adaptability
  • Proficiency with technology


  • Lived experience as a peer in recovery
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Familiarity with organizing fundraising events
  • Experience working with diverse populations, especially Indigenous communities
  • Background in coaching, instructing, or leading events or classes such as outdoor activities or socials
  • Certifications in relevant athletic disciplines
  • Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid certification
  • Fluency in two or more languages
  • Bachelor's degree
