This position will build the Livingston, Montana chapter from the ground up, focusing on community outreach and partnership building, as well as volunteer recruitment. The ideal candidate will have experience leading activities such as CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, art nights, book clubs, and socials. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a robust sober active community in Livingston
  • Initiate partnerships with relevant local organizations
  • Build a strong volunteer instructor program
  • Facilitate events weekly in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment
  • Utilize various technology and social media platforms
  • Engage in regular in-person and virtual outreach efforts to build Phoenix awareness
  • Participate in local community workgroups as a Phoenix representative
  • Handle administrative needs of chapter
  • Commute regularly for community outreach and work remotely
  • Travel as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong outreach and partnership cultivation skills, especially in person
  • Comfortability building a remote nonprofit chapter from the ground up
  • Background in volunteer recruitment
  • Background in administration and communications
  • Relevant local connections
  • Experience coaching, instructing, or leading one or more activities
  • Organizational and time management skills, as well as adaptability
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
  • Proficiency with technology

PREFERENCES

  • Lived experience as a peer in recovery
  • Background working with diverse populations, especially Indigenous communities
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms
  • Certifications in relevant athletic disciplines (CF-L1, L2, or L3; NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE Personal Trainer; AMGA-CWI, SPI, or Rock Guide; IMBA-L1; YT-200, etc.)
  • Fluency in two or more languages
